PRESS RELEASE — The next round of possible strong to severe storms will be late Wednesday into Thursday. Storms will develop in Texas and move east into Louisiana, with the general timing of the severe weather threat from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. Damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes are possible.

In addition, one to two inches of rain is expected. With a strong southerly flow expected ahead of the storms, tides will run above normal and minor coastal flooding will also be possible.
