8th Church Anniversary

Back to God Fresh Anointing Ministries would like to extend a special invitation to come and join us for our 8th year church anniversary at 33:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at 1101 Park Street in Orange. Guest speaker is Pastor Demetrius Moffett and the Orange Church of God family. The theme is “We’ve come this far by faith, not by sight,” taken from 2 Cor. 5:7. All are welcome.

 

Easter Musical

An Easter Musical, Encounter with the Savior, will be presented at First Baptist Church Mauriceville Texas at 5 p.m. April 14. Everyone is invited to attend. A very moving story of the death burial and resurrection of Jesus. A true Easter story.  Keith Branson is producer/ director. Bro Kevin Brown is Pastor.

 

He Lives

A live presentation of ‘He Lives’, directed by Dr. Suzonne Crockett, is an Easter play based on the story of Jesus Christ with special song service. The first performance is a matinee at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 and a grand finale during the Easter morning service at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21 at Mount Olive Baptist Church located at 106 West Park Ave. in Orange. Please come and share the good news. Everyone is welcome.

 

Feed the Hungry

Mt. Olive Baptist Church hosts Feed the Hungry from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. each Thursday at the Rosa Watkins Kitchen located at 106 West Park Ave., in Orange.

 

Cowboy Church of OC Annual Rodeo

Cowboy Church or Orange County will host its Annual Rodeo at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at T2 Arena located at 3810 Old Peveto Road in Orange. For more information call 409-893-8657

 

Palm Sunday Services

First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street in Orange, will have the following on Palm Sunday, April 14:

  • 9:00 a.m.  Praise Service in the Family Life Center
  • 11:00 a.m.   Traditional Service in the Sanctuary
  • 3:00 p.m. Families will rotate through a variety of centers-science, Bible story, crafts, and snacks. (Family Life Center)
  • 4:00 p.m.  EGG DROP COMPETITION (Secure your raw egg in a container).  Youth will drop the egg from the 2nd floor of the Family Life Center. Ages Preschool – 5th Grade.
  • 4:30 p.m.  EASTER EGG HUNT for Preschool through 5th grade.  (Family Life Center)

 

Parenting Class

Wells of Agape is holding a Parenting Class from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange. (Near the Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection). Lunch is provided. The requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. One must attend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to receive the certificate. Samaritan’s Closet

Samaritan’s Closet is open each Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 1009 Mill Street in Orange. Helping in the community with new and like new clothing, cleaning supplies, toiletries and more.

 

Maundy Thursday Communion Service

First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street in Orange, will have Maundy Thursday Communion Service in the Slade Memorial Chapel at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 18.

 

Egg-stravaganza Festival

Orange Naz Church is hosting our first annual EGG-STRAVAGANZA from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at First Church of the Nazarene located at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange; a new and creative Easter Festival this year! Bring the whole family out to visit all of the different EGG themed booths where they will get to play games, win candy and prizes, jump on inflatables, and even get their faces painted. Then at 11 a.m., Dr. Hairball, our resident mad scientist will be doing an EGG-splosive science experiment presentation where six bikes will be raffled off!! Finally, one family will get the opportunity to win a family fun day to the Astro’s game the following weekend (four tickets and food will be covered). It’s going to be a wonderful event for the whole family. Don’t miss!

 

Egg-streme egg

Faith United Methodist Church, located at 8608 MLK Drive in Orange, will be serving lunch, doing games, bounce house and an egg hunt from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14. There will also be a raffle for a spectacular prize. Be sure to buy your raffle tickets at the booth when you get there. Hope everyone can make it out for some fun.

 

Good Friday Services

Orange First Church of the Nazarene will hold Good Friday Services at 6 p.m. at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange.

 

Good Friday Program

The public is invited to share with us as we celebrate the last seven words of Jesus at New Beginning Church 7 p.m. Friday, April 19 at 1512 15th Street in Orange.

 

Funeral for Jesus of Nazareth

First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street in Orange, will hold a Funeral for Jesus of Nazareth at 6 p.m. Good Friday, April 19 in the Slade Memorial Chapel. A thought-provoking service on the day Jesus was crucified.  Be among those who gathered to mourn his passing.

 

Time Capsule Placement

St. Paul C.M.E. Church will place a Time Capsule at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019, at 1201 N 4th Street in Orange.
