The Community Christian Lions won big at TAPPS 1A State Tennis Tournament in Waco this week. James Menard and Rahul Patel played four matches to win the Championship.

The Lions came out of the gate with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Lubbock Christian Academy in the first round.  In the second round they won 6-0, 6-0 against Wichita Falls Christian Academy.  In the sem-finals round they continued with a dominate win 6-0, 6-2 . In the finals Menard and Patel did not give once inch to their opponents Longview Trinity Christian Academy winning with an impressive 6-0, 6-0 match. This is back to back championships for this tennis duo.
Along with this championship comes a third place 1A State  Boys Team championship, which takes  accumulated points from all three team members, James Menard 10th grade, Rahul Patel 11th grade and senior Jacob Carter. Way to go CCS Lions!
