ANAHUAC — Both the Orangefield boys and girls track teams both finished a solid second-place behind East Chambers after the District 22-3A running finals Thursday night at Anahuac High School.

The Bobcats picked up six first-place finishes.

On the girls’ side, Katelynn Helm won the 800 meters (2:19.98). Victoria Welch claimed first in the 300-meter hurdles (49.01). Cadence Harrelson took the 1,600 meters (5:52.28) and the 1,600-meter relay unit won with a time of 4:16.52.

On the boys’ side, Payton Wrinkle won the 1,600 meters (5:05.23) and Josh Blackwell won the 200 meters (23.43).

The top four places advance to the Area Championships Apr. 17, which will be held at Woodville High School.
