Lady Tigers clip Lady Cardinals, 4-2

BRIDGE CITY — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals dropped a 4-2 District 22-4A decision to the Silsbee Lady Tigers Friday night at Lady Cardinal field.
The Lady Tigers (7-2), the second-place team in 22-4A, built a 4-0 lead until the Lady Cardinals (13-11, 4-5) rallied in the fifth inning when Leah Jeffery belted a two-run home run to pull Bridge City to within two but Silsbee was able to hang on for the victory.
Both teams finished with six hits.
Caitlin Denison, Aspen Daniels, Natilee Reed, Ashley Gerrald and Abby Anderson all had singles to aid the Lady Cardinal attack.
The Lady Cardinals will try to bounce back next Friday when they visit Hardin-Jefferson.
