Lady Bears make quick work of Lady Hawks

SOUR LAKE – It didn’t take long for the LC-M Lady Bears to dispatch the Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks to stay perfect in the District 22-4A standings Monday night.

The Bears scored 17 runs in the first three innings, including eight in the third, to defeat the Lady Hawks 17-1 in three quick frames.

Brianna Frenzel notched the win on the hill for LC-M (25-2, 9-0). She allowed four hits through three innings and struck out three.

Renna Toomey led the Lady Bears at the plate as she had a double, three runs batted in and three runs scored.

Olivia Leavings had a hit and drove in three runs. Payten Smith had a hit and two RBI. Madeline Stephenson had a hit, drove in two runs and scored another. JoAnna Henry singled and scored twice. Ally White had a hit, drove in a run and scored one. Megan Peveto drove in a run and scored while Frenzel also had a hit.

The Lady Bears are off all the way to Apr. 12 when they play host to the Lumberton Lady Raiders.
