Pastor Installation

Join us at Orange First Church of the Nazarene, located at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, March 31 at as we formally celebrate the Installation of Rev. Brad and Emily McKenzie as pastor. Dr. Jeffery Johnson, district superintendent, will be joining us.  

 

8th Church Anniversary

Back to God Fresh Anointing Ministries would like to extend a special invitation to come and join us for our 8th year church anniversary at 33:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at 1101 Park Street in Orange. Guest speaker is Pastor Demetrius Moffett and the Orange Church of God family. The theme is “We’ve come this far by faith, not by sight,” taken from 2 Cor. 5:7. All are welcome.

 

Feed the Hungry

Mt. Olive Baptist Church hosts Feed the Hungry from 12 Noon – 1 p.m. each Thursday at the Rosa Watkins Kitchen located at 106 West Park Ave., in Orange.

 

Lenten Fish Fry

St. Francis of Assisi Knights of Columbus Council 13825 is selling fish dinners in the San Damiano Center (behind the Church) located at 4300 Meeks Drive from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the following Lenten Fridays: April 5 and April 12. Dinner includes two pieces of fish, french fries, hushpuppies, coleslaw, drink and dessert for $8.

 

Sunday Power Hour

Do you work Sundays mornings and are unable to attend church? Would you like to sleep in late and still honor God in worship? Would you love to attend a service rich in Worship and Word. We offer “Sunday Power Hour” from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Orange Church of God has a worship service especially tailored for those who serve on the 6 a.m.-2 p.m., 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. shifts along with “Anyone” who would love to attend.

No need to go home and change. This service is geared to embrace everyone to come as they are. Work attire is welcomed and encouraged.

Power Hour is a worship service that’s not about what you wear, it’s about “The Worship & The Word”

Sunday Power Hour starts Sunday at 3 p.m. at Orange Church of God, 1911 N. 16th Street in Orange.

 

Mt. Calvary Mission Department Work Shop

The Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church will be having their Mission Department Workshop, on Saturday, March 30 at 9 a.m. Registration will be $10.00 and it will begin at 8:30 a.m. Our theme is “Spring Cleaning For The Heart” Psalm 51:10-12. The Speakers for the Workshop will be Lady N’ Tundra Jasper, Morning Star Baptist Church Vinton, La.  Minister Vernike Williams-Pitre, of Kingdom Assignment Ministries, Orange, Texas, and Sister Carol Dennis, of Morning Star Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas.

Oasis in the Park

Join First Presbyterian Church for a welcomed oasis amid your hurried day on Thursday, April 4 and Thursday April 11 at 12 Noon at Orange Lions City Park on Main Ave. in Orange. meet us at the picnic tables for a brief devotion and prayer followed by a free sack lunch. All are invited from the community to join us. We will meet rain or shine. Come join us for a time of reflection and fellowship.

 

Cowboy Church of OC Annual Rodeo

Cowboy Church or Orange County will hosts its Annual Rodeo at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 at T2 Arena located at 3810 Old Peveto Road in Orange. For more information call 409-893-8657

 

Palm Sunday Services

First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street in Orange, will have the following on Palm Sunday, April 14:

9:00 a.m.  Praise Service in the Family Life Center

11:00 a.m.   Traditional Service in the Sanctuary

3:00 p.m. Families will rotate through a variety of centers-science, Bible story, crafts, and snacks. (Family Life Center)

4:00 p.m.  EGG DROP COMPETITION (Secure your raw egg in a container).  Youth will drop the egg from the 2nd floor of the Family Life Center. Ages Preschool – 5th Grade.

4:30 p.m.  EASTER EGG HUNT for Preschool through 5th grade.  (Family Life Center)

 

Winners’ Satellite Fellowship

Winners Chapel International Lake Charles, located at Comfort Suites 1016 North MLK Hwy. in Lake Charles, invites you to join us at our Winners’ Satellite Fellowship every Saturday from 5 p.m.-6 p.m. This is an interactive Bible Study where you fellowship and grow in the knowledge and power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Wells of Agape is holding a Parenting Class from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Life Church Orange located at 18389 Hwy. 62 in Orange. (Near the Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 105 intersection). Lunch is provided. Requirement to receive a Certificate of Completion is $30 per person, cash only. One must attend from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to receive the certificate. Maundy Thursday Communion Service

First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street in Orange, will have Maundy Thursday Communion Service in the Slade Memorial Chapel at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 18.

 

Egg-stravaganza Festival

Orange Naz Church is hosting our first annual EGG-STRAVAGANZA from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at First Church of the Nazarene located at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange; a new and creative Easter Festival this year! Bring the whole family out to visit all of the different EGG themed booths where they will get to play games, win candy and prizes, jump on inflatables, and even get their faces painted. Then at 11 a.m., Dr. Hairball, our resident mad scientist will be doing an EGG-splosive science experiment presentation where six bikes will be raffled off!! Finally, one family will get the opportunity to win a family fun day to the Astro’s game the following weekend (four tickets and food will be covered). It’s going to be a wonderful event for the whole family. Don’t miss!

 

Egg-streme egg

Faith United Methodist Church, located at 8608 MLK Drive in Orange, will be serving lunch, doing games, bounce house and an egg hunt from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 14. There will also be a raffle for a spectacular prize. Be sure to buy your raffle tickets at the booth when you get there. Hope everyone can make it out for some fun.

 

Good Friday Services

Orange first Church of the Nazarene will hold Good Friday Services at 6 p.m. at 3810 Martin Luther King Jr Drive in Orange.

Public is invited to share with us as we celebrate the last seven words of Jesus at New Beginning Church 7 p.m. Friday, April 19 at 1512 15th Street in Orange.

 

Funeral for Jesus of Nazareth

First United Methodist Church, 502 N. Sixth Street in Orange, will hold a Funeral for Jesus of Nazareth at 6 p.m. Good Friday, April 19 in the Slade Memorial Chapel. A thought-provoking service on the day Jesus was crucified.  Be among those who gathered to mourn his passing.

 

Time Capsule Placement

St. Paul C.M.E. Church will place a Time Capsule at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 1201 N 4th Street in Orange.
