Bradley, Bobcats mow down Buna

ORANGEFIELD — Blake Bradley was brilliant on the hill on Friday, as he threw a no-hitter to lead the first-place Orangefield Bobcats past Buna 10-0 in District 22-3A action.

The Bobcats secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fourth inning.  Kaiden DuboseJohnny ArmstrongKent MichaelKadeon Evans, and Mason Gonzales each had RBIs in the frame.The Bobcats got things moving in the first inning.  Evans‘ sac fly scored one run for Bobcats.

Orangefieldtallied six runs in the fourth inning.  The offense in the inning came from a walk by Dubose, a single by Armstrong, a groundout by Evans, an error on a ball put in play by Michael, and a double by Gonzales.

Bradley was the winning pitcher for Bobcats. He lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero.

Karson Goldman took the loss for Buna. He allowed seven hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out one.

The Bobcatstallied nine hits.  Bradley and Gunner Jones both managed multiple hits for the Bobcats.  Orangefield was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Michael made the most plays with four.

The Bobcats improve to 10-7 (6-0), and will finish up the first round of district as they travel to Anahuac on Tuesday.
