LTTE: Texas Virtual Academy

I respectfully submit my letter to the editor.

We enrolled our grandson Lane at Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH) so he could learn without distraction. Lane suffers from severe emotional distress, and public school at home gives Lane the opportunity to learn in a comfortable environment.

The large group setting in brick and mortar school was so stressful for Lane that many school mornings began with panic attacks. Because Lane learns at home, attendance is no longer a challenge. Lane enjoys his teachers, talks with them easily, and gets quick responses. Lane’s earning all As, which he hasn’t done since early elementary school.

TVAH offers Lane the opportunity to take PE and Art. Lane has always excelled in his art classes, helping peers with their projects and earning awards. We’re glad to give this option back to Lane.

TVAH has been the best experience we’ve ever had! The teachers, counselors, and administrative staff have been so helpful. We are eternally grateful TVAH had a place for him. We’re so proud of Lane and the progress he’s made in virtual school.
