Girls in Pearls Gala set for March 30

The Orange Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. upcoming Girls & Pearls Cotillion Gala is quickly approaching.
A cotillion is a formal ball, especially one at which debutantes are presented.
The chapter will spotlight five young ladies in our community, all of whom are presently graduating seniors from Orange.
These young ladies have exhibited outstanding character, community service, and academic status in their respective high schools and participated in four mentoring sessions with outstanding community leaders.
The mentoring session topics included Etiquette Essentials which was led by Mayor Larry Spears; Dress to Impress which was led by Mr. Benny Smith, and Mrs. Bettie J. Curtis.; College Entrance Tips was led by Ms. Danielle Robinson and Scared Straight which was led by Rev. Fred Holifield.
All mentoring sessions have been well received by our participants.
Our participants are as follows: Trinity Lyndale Hodges is the daughter of Inez Hodge-Steverson and attends West Orange-Stark High School; McKenzie LeAshia Lewis is the daughter of Mrs. Paula Henson and Mr. Fletcher Lewis and attends West Orange-Stark High School; Aliyah Mims is the daughter of Dallie and Kentavious Miller Sr. and attends West Orange-Stark High School; Jaydyn Shaleigh Steverson is the daughter of Demetria and Adrian Charlot and attends West Orange-Stark High School; Jackie Shane’ Wilson is the daughter of the late Greta Wilson and Jimmy Wilson and attends Lamar State College-Orange; and Kalia Wilson is the daughter of the late Greta Wilson and Jimmy Wilson and attends West Orange-Stark High School.
The Gala is at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the Mount Olive Baptist Church Christian Life Center located at 106 West Park Ave. in Orange.
The public is invited to attend this event.
Ticket prices are $25 and are available from any member of the Orange Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.
