BRIDGE CITY — The Bridge City Lady Cardinals evened up their District 22-4A softball record with a hard-earned 2-1 victory over the Lumberton lady Raiders at Lady Cardinal Field Friday night.

Madison Melton earned the win on the hill for the Lady Cardinals (11-8, 3-3) as she scattered two hits and fanned five Lady Raiders.

Natilee Reed, who was 1-for-2 and Kyndall Harrison had the Lady Cardinal runs batted in.

Abby Anderson was 2-for-3 at the plate while Melton, Ashley Gerrald, Aleah McClanahan each went 1-for-3.

The Lady Cardinals will return to action next Friday at WO-S.
