Bobcats bombard Kountze 12-0

KOUNTZE — Getting a dominating mound effort from senior ace Blake Bradley, the Orangefield Bobcats scorched the Kountze Lions 12-0 in District 22-3A action at Lions Field Friday night to go to a perfect 4-0 in district play.

Bradley scattered two hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Meanwhile, the Bobcats poured out 14 hits offensively.

Gunner Jones led the Bobcats to victory by driving in four runs.  He went 2-for-3 at the plate.  Jones drove in four runs on a grand slam in the second.

The Bobcats (8-7, 4-0) fired up the offense in the first inning.  Kadeon Evans singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Bobcats scored five runs in the second inning.  The Bobcats’ big inning was driven by a single by Kent Michael and a home run by Jones.

Michael, Bradley, Jones, Johnny Armstrong, and Evans all managed multiple hits for Bobcats.  Bradley and Michael all had three hits to lead Bobcats.

The Bobcats will welcome Hardin Tuesday night in a home tilt.
