Evi D. Smith was born in Houston, Texas and grew up in Orange. She graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont and received her Associates in Applied Science in Kinesiology.

Smith later finished her extended education at University of Houston where she received her Bachelors in Fine Arts.

It was one day when she went to the doctor where she learned she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and weighed over 289 pounds.

“I knew I had to change my eating patterns and get healthy,” Smith said.

After hearing this, she began her health journey and was determined to get healthy.  After months of changing her eating habits and incorporating exercise, this became a lifestyle for her.

By the end of 2016, she became a NASM CPT while transitioning to the gym life and working for Anytime Fitness franchise. Through her workout program at the gym, she gained a strong clientele from both women and men.

She had several clients who sought out her different approach to fitness and weight loss goals. This is how Showtyme Strong Fitness was born and became a networking tool for her.

She is a personal trainer and just won trainer of the year for 2019.  Her goal is to open her own gym and continue to educate others on the importance of healthy living.

Evi Smith, the City of Orange, Texas is proud of you and keep up the great work.
