An Orange man was extracted from his vehicle with moderate injuries after being trapped in his vehicle that rolled over after a collision.
The 47-year-old man was driving a 1995 Gold GMC Suburban, around 4 p.m. Sunday, northbound in the 600 block of Strickland Drive in Orange waiting for a green arrow so he could turn into the Home Depot store.
The teen driver of a Southbound 2014 Nissan Maxima collided with the suburban as the driver turned into the store lot.
Both drivers stated they had green lights and the other vehicle did not stop for the light.
The collision caused the suburban to lose control and flip over landing on the driver’s side window.
The 47-year-old driver of the suburban became trapped and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the man from the vehicle.
Both vehicles had other passengers in them at the time of the collision.
All passengers were examined on scene by first responders, but did not have any major injuries.
The teen occupants of the Nissan Maxima were transported to a local hospital for treatment and observation.
There were no third party witnesses to the crash and the investigation is on going by the Orange Police Department.
