SILSBEE – The Bridge City Lady Cardinals dropped a tough 1-0 District 22-4A softball decision to the Silsbee Lady Tigers Monday night.

The Lady Tigers were able to scratch a run across the board in the bottom of the sixth inning on a two-out hit to centerfield.

Austyn Daniels pitched well for the Lady Cardinals (2-1 in district), allowing just three hits while striking out eight and walking three.

Abby Anderson and Natilee Reed each went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Cardinals.

Bridge City will be back home Thursday to face Hardin-Jefferson with the JV starting at 2:30 p.m. followed by the varsity at 4 p.m.
