This past Saturday at Goose Creek Memorial HS seven lifters from West Orange – Stark competed in the Regional powerlifting meet. Jordan Garrett and Darby Jones excelled and had a great day in competition, with both placing in the top three of their weight class. Garrett placed 3rd in the SHW division with a Squat of 550 lbs, Bench Press of 310 lbs, and a Dead Lift of 510 lbs to give him a total of 1,370 lbs. Darby Jones placed 2nd qualifying for the State meet in Abilene, with a Squat of 565 lbs, Bench Press of 360 lbs, and a Dead Lift of 580 lbs to give him a total of 1,505 lbs. The State meet is in Abilene on March 23rd.
