CAMERON — The Bridge City Cardinals split a pair of games at the Cameron Yoe Tournament Saturday.

The Cardinals defeated Taylor 9-8 and dropped a tight 3-2 decision to LaGrange.

Against Taylor, the Cardinals received hits from Jaxon Bernard, Gavin Green and Trevor Kimball and RBI from Bernard, Jackson Tims and Payton Havard.

In the loss to LaGrange Jaxon Luna pitched well for the Cardinals (7-1-2)

, going six innings while fanning seven. Green had a pair of hits for the Cardinals while Slade Foreman drove in a run.
