LIBERTY — The LC-M Lady Bears are competing in the Liberty Tournament and went 3-1 Friday.

The Lady Bears (14-1) absorbed their first loss of the season at the hands of defending Class 4A state champion Liberty 4-0, who they had beaten in their season opener 4-3.

The Lady Bears responded from the tough defeat well as they went on to defeat Beaumont Kelly 8-0, Huffman 4-2 and Lufkin 11-1.

The Lady Bears will face Silsbee and Tarkington in the tourney on Saturday.
