Driver doing ’donuts’ in parking lot concerns witness

 

A church congregation leaving Wednesday evening services were almost struck by a reckless driver according to a witness in a police report.

A person called Orange Police Department at approximately 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the 18,300 block of State Hwy. 87 in Orange in reference to a Dodge pickup truck was ‘performing donuts in the parking lot.’

The caller also said the driver had almost struck a building as well as parents and children exiting the church at the time.

While investigating, officers spoke with a female who said the truck had struck her car.

A taillight was damaged on her vehicle as well as damage to the trunk and rear fender.

 

Citizen reports littering

A concerned citizen witnessed someone littering on MacArthur Drive and reported it to the Orange Police Department.

A man told an officer, according to a police report, he had seen an unknown person littering at approximately 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The man was on MacArthur Drive in the turning lane when he saw a person walking in the center turning lane when the person was seen littering and then leaving the area.

The citizen who reported the incident stated he wishes to pursue charges.
