Former West Orange-Stark track standout Jared Dupree set a personal-best competing for the University of Texas over the weekend as he high-jumped 6-6 ¾ at the Aggie Twilight Meet at Texas A&M.

Dupree will represent the Longhorns in the Big 12 Indoor Championships this Saturday at Texas Tech in Lubbock.

It has been a nice bounce back season for Dupree, who missed last year’s outdoor season due to a stress fracture.

Dupree is also getting it done in the classroom. Making the Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll for Spring 2018.

Dupree made it to the Class 4A State Track & Field Championships as a junior and a senior, finishing second and fourth respectively in those seasons.

He cleared 6-9 to win the district championship his senior year.
