Lady Cats go 4-2 in Lufkin tourney

ORANGEFIELD — The Orangefield Lady Bobcat softball team traveled to Lufkin for the Hudson softball tournament this weekend. The Bobcats finished 4-2 on the weekend.

Thursday, Feb. 14th:

Loss to Woodville 4-2

Loss to Huntington 5-0

Friday, February 15th:

Win vs. Elysian Fields 10-5:

Ryden Stanfield went 1 for 3 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Alayna Dodd went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a stolen base. Emma Humplik went 3 for 3 with a homerun and 3 RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Alyssa Dodd went 1 for 1 with an RBI. Olivia Grant went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Codie Sorge went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. Hannah Dupuis went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up no earned runs with 8 strikeouts.

Win vs. Garrison 9-1:

Ryden Stanfield went 3 for 3 with 3 runs scored. Alayna Dodd went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored. Alyssa Dodd went 2 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione had 2 walks, an RBI and a run scored. Olivia Grant went 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s. Heather Mineer went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s. Hannah Dupuis went 1 for 3 with a run scored. Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up no earned runs on 4 hits with 11 strikeouts.

Saturday, February 16th:

Win vs. Corrigan Camden 8-2:

Ryden Stanfield went 1 for 3 with a run scored. Emma Humplik went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Alyssa Dodd went 1 for 2 with a homerun and 2 RBI’s, Olivia Grant went 1 for 2 with a walk and 2 runs scored. Codie Sorge went 3 for 3 with an RBI. Heather Mineer went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI’s. Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up just 3 hits, 1 earned run with 9 strikeouts.

Win vs. Normangee 7-3:

Ryden Stanfield went 1 for 3 with a double, a run scored and 2 RBI’s. Alayna Dodd had an RBI and 2 runs scored. Alyssa Dodd went 1 for 3 with an RBI. Heather Mineer went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Hannah Dupuis went 1 for 2 with an RBI. Heather Mineer, Tiffany Ciancaglione, and Alayna Dodd all had stolen bases. Codie Sorge got the win giving up 5 hits, no earned runs with 11 strikeouts.

The Lady Bobcats improve their season record to 5-2 and will play Lumberton Monday or Tuesday depending on weather and a schedule change.
