A driver suspected to be under the influence was arrested Saturday night, after crashing head on into Little Cypress Fire Department Utility Vehicle.
Orange Fire and Police Departments responded around 7 p.m. in the 7300 block of State Hwy. 87 in Orange County to a two vehicular crash.

Upon arrival, first responders found the driver of Little Cypress Fire Department Ford Expedition disabled in the middle of State Hwy. 87 and a Chevrolet Silverado off in a ditch.

The collision caused both vehicles to spin out and face the opposite direction of travel.
According to Orange County Emergency Services District 3 Fire Chief M. Manshack, the fire unit was headed northbound, when it was hit head on by a southbound truck that crossed into the north bound lane.
Both drivers were assessed on scene, by first responders.

The fire fighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the Silverado, Kenneth Barlett Jr., 48, was arrested and taken into custody for DWI Third Offense.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Orange Police Department.

Both vehicles involved appeared to be a total lost.

Traffic on State Hwy. 87 was closed in both direction while the crash scene was cleared of debris.
