On Thursday February 14th, the Orangefield Powerlifting team competed in the Orangefield Invitational Meet. In the Girls division, The Lady Bobcats placed first as a team. Individually finishing first were Linsey Tackett in the 97-lb class, Lacey Tackett in the 114-lb class, Madison Taylor in the 132-lb class, Bailey Cady in the 259-lb class and Tatum Morgan in the SHW class. Finishing in second place was Jairyn Leger in the 198-lb class. Third place finishers include Bailey Balismo, Kathy Nguyen, and Grace Sullivan. The qualifying girl’s will next compete in the regional meet held in Edna, TX on Feb. 28

In the Boys division finishing first were Dylan Wells in the 123-lb class and Brant Hyatt in the 165-lb class. Second place finishers include Gunner Grimes (123lb), Hunter Ashworth (220lb), and Santos Garcia (242lb). Third place finishers were Dakota Williford, Chase Broussard, and Hunter Norwood.
