Newton County Sheriff’s Report 2.11.19

Published 10:00 am Monday, February 11, 2019

We had a good week around here. Let’s see what went on.

We received a report of some stolen property in a pickup in north end. The owner took pictures of vehicle, license plate and stolen property. We are getting warrant as we speak. Great job Gay!

We received several reports this week of horses, cows and dogs not being fed. It’s against the law not to take care of your critters. It cost the county lots of money to seize these animals. Look’s like we are going to start. FEED YOUR ANIMALS.

There were several traffic accidents in the area over the last couple of weeks. Two things I need to mention. First, please put on your seat belt and buckle down them kiddos. Second, if you are drinking do not get behind the steering wheel. First offense DWI is going to cost you close to $10,000.00 from start to finish. Be smart, get a designated driver.

To all the guys out there, don’t forget Thursday the 14th is Valentine’s Day. I’ve done my duty, don’t forget.

Gotta Go, thought for the week. I’m thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose. Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help, just holler. God Bless.
