Community Christian’s Trenton Cummings became the first Lions athlete in CCS history to get signed on signing day as he signed with the University of Houston Downtown to play baseball.

Trenton chose UHD because when he went for his visit and talked with coach Nick strong he really liked what he had to say about his program and felt right at home. He will be studying Kinesiology with the hopes of teaching and coaching one-day. Last year Trenton batted at 400 the whole year, and led the CCS Lions in stolen bases. Trenton also made TAPPS 1st Team All-district. Trenton also played football and basketball for the CCS Lions.
