P.E.O Founder’s Day hosted in Orange

P.E.O Founder’s Day was hosted by Chapter GW in Orange on Saturday, January 19, 2019.  P.E.O. is a professional educational organization that awards scholarships for woman locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally.

Sue Denosowiez, Chapter GW President, welcomed guests from chapters throughout the Golden Triangle. Claire Smith introduced Sarah Boehme who presented a program on “Obtain Wisdom from Art” An introduction to the Stark Museum of Art.

P.E.O. has been in existence for 150 years and has given over 321 million dollars in financial assistance to more than 105,000 recipients through the Education Loan Fund, International Peace Scholarship, Program for Continuing Education, P.E.O. Scholar award, Star Scholarship and Cottey College Projects.
