Bear golfers take Vidor tourney title

BEAUMONT — The LC-M Boys Golf Team won first place at the Vidor Invitational Golf Tournament played at the Golf course of Texas in Beaumont.

The boys played the very wet course from 7,100 yards.  Hardin Jefferson was second and PN-G was third.

Jack Burke of LC-M won first place individually.  Peyton Weems of Lumberton was second and Colin Lietzke of HJ was third.

Burke won the tournament with a 75 as the Bears shot a 345. Hardin-Jefferson finished with a team score of 350. Wyatt Wozniak had a 88 for the Bears followed by teammates Mason Sterling (90), Jack Tindel 992) and Travis Love (98).

Orangefield fired a 401 as a team. Hunter Christman led the Bobcats with a 86 followed by teammates Ryan Braxton (90), Kyle Pickard (97) and Diego Bacca (128).
