Big second-half lifts Buna by Bobcats

BUNA — Trailing by nine at halftime, the Buna Cougars went on to outscore Orangefield 29-18 the rest of the way to notch a 47-45 District 22-3A win over the Bobcats at Cougar Gym to help solidify second-place.

The Bobcats (25-8, 8-4) led 27-18 at the half but went cold from the field after intyermissionm.

The Cougars (19-9, 10-2) trimmed it to 32-31 by the end of the third quarter and outscored Orangefield 16-13 in the fourth.

Cade Prejean led the Bobcat offense with 14 points. Tyrone Waggoner filtered in 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Valentin Catt had eight points, 16 rebounds and eight blocked shots.

The Bobcats will host Hardin Friday.
