Lady Bobcats blitz Warren to go to 11-0 in 22-3A play

ORANGEFIELD – It was another romp for the Orangefield Lady Bobcats Friday night as they continued their quest for perfection in District 22-3A as they crushed the Warren Lady Warriors 79-46 at Bobcat Gym.

The first-place Lady Bobcats (25-6, 11-0) went on a 20-7 first-quarter spree and then a 26-9 jaunt in the second quarter to dismantle the Lady Warriors.

Faith Fregia sparked four Lady Bobcats in double figures as she tallied a game-high 18 points and buried three three-pointers.

Senior guard Emmi Lummus got the Lady Bobcats flowing in the right direction in the early going, picking up a slew of steals that led to easy baskets. She finished with 15 points, all of them coming in the first half.

Jacey Bourque had a solid outing as well, finishing with 14 points and six rebounds. Lady Bobcat post Tatum Garlington contributed 10 points and six boards.

Jayme Deutsch snared a game-high 12 rebounds as the Lady Bobcats outrebounded the Lady Warriors by a whopping 44-20 margin.

Guards Karlie Moore and Hallie Jo Nering led the Lady Warriors with 13 points apiece while Elizabeth Clymer added seven points. Nering led Warren with six rebounds while Mary Clymer had five boards.

The Lady Bobcats actually had one more turnover than the Lady Warriors. Orangefield finished with 24 turnovers while Warren had 23.

The Lady Bobcats finished 14-of-22 from the free-throw line while Warren was just 15-of-35.

The Lady Bobcats have three games remaining in 22-3A play. They will look to continue their winning ways Tuesday when they visit the Kountze Lionettes.
