BC, “power” teams fare well

VIDOR — On Thursday the Bridge City Powerlifting Team competed in the Vidor Invitational.

Both teams put up hard fights.  Although the girls placed third, there were only four points separating first to third places.  The boys finished up the night in fourth place.  Individual results are below.

Freshman Faith Savoie placed fourth in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 325 pounds; .

Sophomore Ruth Hamilton placed second in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 520 pounds.

Junior Grace Howard placed fifth in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 430 pounds.

Junior Hannah Kincannon placed fourth in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 545 pounds.

Senior Lacey Pender placed first in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 775 pounds.

Senior Jadyn Cunningham placed first in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 650 pounds.

Junior, Jana Stahlhut placed second in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 505 pounds.

Freshman Paris Stutts placed third in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 355 pounds.

Senior Chloe LeJeune placed third in her weight-class by lifting a total weight of 715 pounds.

Freshman Shayan Rahim placed second in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 615 pounds.

Sophomore Spencer Beck placed third in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 560 pounds.

Junior Jake Potter placed second in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 975 pounds.

Freshman Trey Hebert placed third in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 915 pounds.

Junior Davien Edwards placed third in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 900 pounds.

Junior Josh Fuselier placed fourth in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 885 pounds.

Senior Jack Fontenot placed first in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 1,600 pounds.

JuniorTrenton Roccaforte placed fifth in his weight-class by lifting a total weight of 905 pounds.

Bridge City will be hosting the Bridge City Invitational on January 31 at the Bridge City Middle School Gym.
