High-octane Tigers run past Cardinals

BRIDGE CITY — The defending Class 4A state champion Silsbee Tigers ran past the Bridge City Cardinals 100-51 in District 22-4A play at Cardinal Gym Tuesday night.

Kolten Weeks led the Cardinals (9-14, 1-6) with 16 points and five rebounds while Grant Boudreaux added 11 points.

Jordyn Adams led the Tigers (18-6, 7-0) with 23 points and had six rebounds. Devon McCain contributed 16 points, five rebounds and five steals. Braylon Bush had 14 points, 10 assists and four boards. Landyn Tyler had 11 points and five rebounds while Chris Martin added 10 points and six rebounds.

The Cardinals will visit Hamshire-Fannett Friday.
