BC girls capture H-J Powerlifting Meet title

SOUR LAKE — Last Thursday the Bridge City Powerlifting teams competed at the Hardin-Jefferson Invitational Meet.  The girls lifted enough weight to finish first and the boys finished fifth.  The individual results are as follows:

GIRLS

Junior Megan Rappelet placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 360 pounds;

Junior Josie Watts placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 410 pounds;

Freshman Jamie Ener placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 365 pounds

Freshman Faith Savoie placed third in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 305 ;

Junior Grace Howard placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 390 pounds;

Senior Jadyn Cunningham placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 610 pounds;

Sophomore Elizabeth Torres placed fourth in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 460 pounds;

Freshman Evelyn Lecia placed first in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 525 pounds;

Junior Jana Stahlhut placed second in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 485

Freshman Paris Stutts placed third in her weight class by lifting a total weight of 340.

BOYS

Sophomore Spencer Beck placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 595 pounds;

Junior Jake Potter placed first in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 910 pounds;

Senior Alex Williams placed second in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 800 pounds;

Junior Josh Fuselier placed sixth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 865 pounds;

Junior Sheldon Becker placed first in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 1,035 pounds’

Sophomore Kyler Thomas placed fourth in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 780 pounds;

Junior Trenton Roccaforte placed third in his weight class by lifting a total weight of 900 pounds.

The Bridge City Powerlifting Teams will compete next week at the Vidor Invitational.
