LUMBERTON — The West Orange-Stark Mustangs could not quite overcome a tough first half Tuesday night as they fell to the Lumberton Raiders 54-50 at Raiders Gym in District 22-4A play.

The Raiders (16-11, 4-1) led the Mustangs (13-13, 2-3) 14-6 after the first quarter and 27-14 at the half. WO-S put together a nice rally late but fell just short.

Terron Brown had a huge night for the Mustangs, scoring 28 points while adding five rebounds.

B’Jan Arvie had 10 rebounds, five points and three steals while Darryl Bowens added six points and six steals.

The Mustangs will host Bridge City (9-12, 1-4) Friday.
