Bobcats nab road win at Hardin

HARDIN — The Orangefield Bobcats got over the slow-down tactics of the Hardin Hornets in the second quarter Tuesday night as they went on to zip to a 49-30 District 22-3A victory at Hornet Gym.

The Hornets (21-5, 4-2) slowed the game down in the first quarter as they were tied with the Bobcats (21-6, 4-2) at 10-10 at the end of the period.

However, the Bobcats found their groove, going on a 17-3 spurt in the second quarter to pull out to a 27-13 edge by the half.

Tyrone Waggoner paced the Bobcat attack with 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

Cade Prejean pumped in 11 points. Logan Risinger had nine points and Clayson Choate six while post Valentin Catt had eight rebounds, six blocked shots and five points.

The Bobcats will welcome in Kirbyville Friday.
