A corporate employee with Waffle House, located on State Hwy, 62 in Orange, conducted an audit due to concerns from a manager.

During the course of the audit, it was determined the safe was short of cash and several deposit slips were missing, according to a police report from the Orange Police Department.

During an internal investigation into the missing funds, a person admitted to the theft, on Thursday.

The company is pressing charges on the unnamed individual.
