PRESS RELEASE — Sabine River Authority is maintaining 11 gates open at 4 feet, this is causing moderate flooding in low lying areas. The Toledo Bend Lake level is maintaining due to run off from the Northern Basins and the releases will continue and be adjusted lower as the lake level decreases. We will continue to coordinate with SRA and update the public as changes occur.

The Neches River is currently at 6.21 feet and will continue to rise until peaking at 8.6 feet on Tuesday. Low lying areas are currently experiencing  flooding and should take precautions.

The main areas of concern are the Northeast and the Northwest areas of Orange County. To monitor the lake, river and flood stage level go to http://www.setexasrain.org/

Remember if you come across flooded streets be safe and “Turn Around and Don’t Drown”.
