SETCA adds Newton’s Johnston to 2019 Hall of Honor Class

Plenty of Southeast Texas coaches will be honored at this year’s Southeast Texas Coaches Association Hall of Honor and Coaches of the Year Banquet that will be held in January along with the SE Texas Coaching School.
The Hall of Honor Class of 2019 just added a new member as Newton head football coach W.T. Johnson was recently added to the class.
Johnston just led Newton to back-to-back Class 3A Division II State Championships.
This year’s Hall of Honor Class will also consist of Del Basinger, Michael (M.J.) Mitchell, Bobby McGallion, George Eskue and Shawn Klinger.
The CHRISTUS Sports Medicine and Beaumont Bone and Joint Hall of Honor and Coach of the Year Presentation will be held at the Holiday Inn in Beaumont off Walden Rd.
