PRESS RELEASE  — Sabine River Authority has 11 gate open to 4 feet this will cause moderate flooding to occur in Orange County. Areas east of Hwy 87 and North of Interstate 10 should make preparations. As water continues to flow into the river Basin we will continue to Coordinate with SRA and update the public with potential river levels and high water.  Future gate adjustments are possible.

This rain event has also caused some flooding on the Neches River, currently the level is at 5.91 feet in minor flood stage and is predicted to continue to rise into major flood stage peaking around 8.4 feet on Tuesday. People living in the low lying areas should make preparations.

These lake levels and weather conditions are changing quickly we urge everyone to monitor the weather situation by listening to local news, we will update as this situation continues.
