District hoops cranks up again this week; Bobcat teams on the road tonight

District basketball season is cranking up for local basketball teams this week after they were all busy participating in tournaments last week.

Both the Orangefield boys and girls are in District 22-3A action tonight (Wednesday) as they both will make a trip to Warren to face the Warrior teams.

The Bobcat boys are 17-5 overall and 0-1 in district while the Lady Bobcats have sprinted out to a perfect 3-0 district mark.

On Friday, District 22-4A cranks up again.

On the boys side, West Orange-Stark 911-11, 0-1) will visit Hamshire-Fannett (2-11, 0-2), Little Cypress-Mauriceville (9-13, 0-1) will welcome in Lumberton (11-11, 1-1), and Bridge City (9-10, 1-1) will visit Hardin-Jefferson (18-7, 2-0) while Silsbee (11-5, 2-0) has a bye.

On the girls side, LC-M (1-2 in district) will visit Lumberton (1-2 in district), Bridge City (2-1 in district) hosts state-ranked Hardin-Jefferson (3-0 in district) and WO-S (0-3 in district) heads to Hamshire-Fannett (0-3 in district).

Both Bobcats teams will be at home in 22-3A action Friday when they each host Kountze).
