WINNIE – The LC-M Lady Bears captured the third-place trophy at the East Chambers Tournament Saturday by nipping Orange County rival Bridge City 39-38.

All-Tournament selection Chelsea Perry had 10 points and six rebounds for the Lady Bears.

Brittney Wyatt had nine points, collected 10 rebounds and had two steals while Karly Rogers notched eight points and grabbed eight boards.

The Lady Bears dropped a tight 46-42 decision to the host Lady Bucs earlier in the day.

Perry had 14 points and six rebounds. Rogers posted 10 points and had five rebounds while Zaria Johnson contributed seven points.
