PRESS RELEASE — Tuesday, December 26, 2018 Officers with the newton County Sheriff’s Office arrested Phillip James Alford. He has been charged with three counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. These crimes are a 1st degree felony.

Alford was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 Mike Greer. Bond was set at $150,000 on each charge.

More complaints are being investigated. So far there are three victims.

Alford still remains in the Newton County Jail.
