Bears finish Fredericksburg Tourney 2-2

FREDERICKSBURG – The LC-M Bears split a pair of games at the Fredericksburg Tournament on Friday and Thursday to finish 2-2 at the tourney.

On Thursday the Bears (9-13) dropped a tight 60-55 decision to Cleburne.

Braden Bridges sparked the offense with 27 points.

Jesse Doucette had 11 points while D.J. Williams contributed 10.

The Bears won their second game Thursday, defeating Canyon Lake 55-51.

Bridges led the way once again, pouring in 25 points. Doucette had 10 points while Williams posted five points, eight rebounds, six assists and drew three charges.

On Friday, the Bears dropped a 58-43 decision to host Fredericksburg.

Bridges led the way with 26 points.

The Bears bounced back Friday to defeat Midlothian Heritage 54-44.

Bridges led the way with 33 points while D.J. Williams had four points and drew four charges.

In other tournament action on Thursday the WO-S Mustangs defeated Broaddus 44-40 and fell to East Chambers 77-58 at the East Chambers Tournament.

The Mustangs returned Friday and picked up a nice 77-68 win over Livingston as Terron Brown exploded for 37 points.
