To The Leader

This year the Orange Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will be hosting Girls in Pearls Cotillion and Guys in Ties Beautillion Ball.

If you are interested in participating please attend the interest meeting Jan. 9, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Orange Planning and Zoning Building at 303 N. 8th Street in Orange.

This program focuses on the educational goals of college-bound youths and gives those who have demonstrated exemplary moral standards, school involvement and outside activities an opportunity to participate in various activities.

The Debutantes and Beaus will participate in social activities, educational development, and etiquette skills which will enhance their personal growth as they transition into adulthood.

Being a debutante or beau requires time, work, and dedication, but will reap rewards, which may include college scholarships and other program incentives. In order to participate in the program you must:

  1. Classify as a high school senior as of fall 2018
  2. Possess a cumulative grade-point average of 2.50 © or better on a four-point scale.

There will be plenty of fun activities planned. As a part of the transition and end of the program, we will celebrate their introduction into society with a grand ball for all of their family and friends to see as they welcome the Debutante and Beau classes as a polished, poised and prepared member of society.
