Bobcats whip Jasper to snag 3rd in their Tennison Tournament

ORANGEFIELD – The Orangefield Bobcats nabbed the third-place trophy at their own Orangefield Tennison Tournament Saturday by blasting Jasper 71-26 in the third-place game.

Cade Prejean paced the Bobcats with 15 points and had five rebounds while Tyrone Waggoner contributed 14 points.

Valentin Catt had nine points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three blocks. Kaiden DuBose and Colby Gonzales each tallied nine points while Clayson Choate hauled in seven rebounds.

On Friday the Bobcats defeated Beaumont Legacy 59-41 and nipped Liberty 65-64.

Against Legacy Valentin Catt posted 20 points, 13 rebounds and blocked even shots.

Cade Prejean had 11 points while Tyrone Waggoner had nine points and Colby Gonzales yanked down six rebounds.

Against Liberty Catt notched 18 points to go along with nine assists and eight rebounds. Prejean poured in 17 points while Coy Bryant filtered in 12. Kaiden DuBose had eight points while Waggoner contributed six points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
