Man airlifted after lovers quarrel

A man was taken to a hospital via Air Rescue after he was hit by a car, following a disturbance between him and his girlfriend.
Orange Police and Fire responded to a residence at 12:52 p.m. on Saturday at the 2800 block of Enner Road in reference to an auto pedestrian accident.
Upon arrival on scene, Officer D. Slaughter found an injured male victim lying on his back who stated he and his girlfriend had been in an altercation.

As the female attempted to leave the residence, her vehicle struck the male causing a severe head injury to the male victim.

Acadian Ambulance took the man to a nearby helicopter, where he was flown to the hospital for treatment for severe head injuries.
Officer D. Slaughter is the initial investigating officer and Detective H. Devault is the lead investigator.

This is an ongoing investigation.
