Saturday, Dec. 1

Breakfast with Santa and Rudolph

St. Paul UMC, 1155 West Roundbunch Road in Bridge City will host Breakfast with Santa from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Event will include all you can eat breakfast buffet, reindeer games, a visit with Santa and pictures with Santa. Cost is $10 each. Adults and children will need a ticket.

 

Beary Merry Christmas Market

The Beary Merry Christmas Market will be hosted by the LC-M Education Foundation Inc. at LC-M High School from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Shop for the holidays from over 50 participating vendors. There will be gifts, food, games, entertainment and silent auction. $10 tickets include: Christmas story read by Mrs. Claus, cookies and milk, a book of your own and a picture with Santa Claus. Limited tickets available and may be purchased at the LC-M Admin Building and Mauriceville Elementary. There are $5 photos with Santa Claus beginning at 12:45 p.m. Market tickets are $3. Under 12 is free. All proceeds go toward the LC-M Education Foundation Inc. “Grants to Educators” Program.

 

Jr. NBA Skills Challenge

Participation is free, open to boys and girls 13-and-Under. Compete for the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to New York City. The host is the Orange County Stark Tigers –Jr. NBA/WNBA Association. It will be held Dec. 1-2 starting at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic School. Sunday, Dec. 2

Christmas at the Depot

Christmas at the Depot will be from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Come sip and shop, jingle and mingle. Mimosas, punch and delicious treats.  Christmas arrangements, fashions, jewels, cosmetics, sweets and more. Vendors accept credit cards. There will be door prizes every 15 minutes.

 

Christmas Market in Orangefield

Christmas Market in Orangefield will be from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at Burger Town located at 6223 W. Roundbunch. Vendors will include Avon, Brown Bag Boutique, Damsel in Defense, Jaxon Custom Creations, Lularoe, Pampered Chef, Rodan + Fields, Scentsy, Sweet Jewelry Time, Tupperware, Young Living, Younique & more.

 

Monday, Dec. 3

Christmas Tree Lighting

West Orange Tree Lighting ceremony will be at 6 p.m. at West Orange City Hall located at 2700 Western Ave. in West Orange.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 5

Golden K Kiwanis meeting

Andy Preslar, Director of Reporting and Quality Enhancement Plan at Lamar State College-Orange, will present information regarding GOALS (Greater Orange Area Literacy Services) and the non-profit’s need for tutors and students in the area, as well as the need for additional for funding.  Preslar serves as president of GOALS.  The Golden K meeting is held at 9:30 a.m. each Wed. at the Salvation Army Bldg., MLK and Strickland in Orange.  The public is always invited.  Hot coffee and light refreshments offered.

 

OC Parkinson’s Awareness Support Group

Orange County Parkinson’s Awareness Support Group will meet at 11:15 a.m. (in line 11:30 a.m.) for our Christmas Social with a Cookie Exchange. Thursday, Dec. 6

9th Annual Can Drive

The 9th Annual Can Drive, sponsored by Granger Chevrolet and KOGT will be from 7 a.m.-9 a.m. at Granger Chevrolet. It is to benefit Orange Christian Services and the Salvation Army. For more details call (409) 988-0000 or (409) 886-5648.

 

Toy Coffee

The annual Toy Coffee Drive hosted by the Service League of Orange is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 602 W. Orange Avenue in Orange. A guided tour and an array of goodies and treats will be served. In the annual tradition, bring a new, unwrapped toy or cash donation to be given to The Salvation Army so all children may have a Merry Christmas.

 

OCF Party Bridge Group

The Orange County Freinds Party Bridge Group meets for bridge the first Thurs. of each month at 11:30 a.m. for a Dutch Treat Lunch at the Garden District Restaurant on Hwy. 87, across from LCMHS.  Bridge starts at 12 noon.  Cost is $1 to play.  Text Joy, Co-Chair, at 409-670-5026 for more details and to reserve a spot.

 

 

Friday, Dec. 7

Christmas Open House

First Presbyterian Church, 902 Green Ave. in Orange, will host its Annual Christmas Open House at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 in the Fellowship Hall of the Lutcher Memorial Building. Let’s gather to watch the annual Christmas Parade. Cookies, punch, hot cocoa and popcorn will be served.

 

Vidor bike night

At James Brown’s Gumbo House many motorcycle clubs will be getting together to raise money to help families in need of Christmas dinner and gifts from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. For more information call (409) 656-8745.

 

70th Annual Orange Christmas Parade

The Kiwanis Club of Orange presents An Olde World Christmas from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Kiwanis’ trophy presentation, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and additional festivities from 8pm-10pm at the Orange Riverfront Pavilion. Musical numbers and vendors will be present at the Riverfront.
