LAKE CHARLES – The West Orange-Stark Mustangs dropped a 83-65 decision to LaGrange (La.) Monday night to go to 1-1 on the young season.

LaGrange jumped out 26-18 in the first quarter and led 42-33 at intermission. LaGrange outscored the Mustangs 16-12 in the third to grab a double-digit lead.

Donanerius Brown and Terron Brown each posted double-doubles for the Mustangs. Donanerius Brown had 19 points and 10 rebounds while Terron Brown notched 17 points and 11 boards.

Jalen Jefferson had 10 points for WO-S while Nakai Arnol had eight and Labarius Simmons seven.

The Mustangs will visit Baytown Lee next Tuesday.
