PORT NECHES – Utilizing a big first half, the Orangefield Lady Bobcats zipped past the Port Neches-Groves Lady Indians 71-45 at Indian Gym Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Bobcats (9-3) outscored the Lady Indians 18-12 in the first quarter and 19-10 in the second quarter to lead 37-22 at intermission and they never looked back.

Faith Fregia had a team-high 18 points for the Lady Bobcats while Jacey Bourque had 11 and Joli Ponfick 10.

Emmi Lummus contributed eight points and and four steals. Tatum Garlington had six points and six rebounds while Lacy Leach, Jayme Deutsch and Kylie Elkins each scored six points.

The Lady Bobcats return to action Monday when they visit Vidor.
