K.J. Miller earns All-Conference honors for the Cru

BELTON, Texas – Nineteen University of Mary Hardin-Baylor football players claimed spots on the American Southwest Conference All-Conference teams and former West Orange-Stark standout K.J. Miller was one of them.

Miller, a sophomore slot back/kick returner from West Orange Stark High School, leads UMHB with 34 catches for 456 yards and two touchdowns and he has also returned three punts for touchdowns on the season and was a Second Team All-Conference selection.

The Cru finished the regular season with a 10-0 overall record and won its 14th straight ASC championship with a 9-0 league mark. They are now at 11-0 after defeating Hardin-Simmons 27-6 in the first round of the playoffs.

The Cru will host Berry College (10-1) at noon this Saturday at Crusader Stadium.

Miller was the Orange Leader Male Athlete of the Year for 2016-17 after helping lead the Mustangs to back-to-back Class 4A Division III State Championships playing receiver and as a dangerous return man.

He was also a standout athlete in both basketball and baseball.
