PRESS RELEASE — On Sunday November 11^th , 2018 Lake Charles police officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of O’Brien Street for a suspicious person. Upon arrival in the area, officers came into contact with Chantz Wade Nix, 23 years of age. Officers conducted a wants and warrants check and found that Chantz Nix had warrants for his arrest out of Jefferson Davis Parish for violation of Louisiana sex offender laws. Chantz Nix was arrested and transported to Calcasieu Correctional Center. Chantz Wade Nix is a Louisiana sex offender who was convicted in 2011 for Aggravated Rape, his victims were a 6 year old female and a 7 year old female. Chantz Nix is a tier 3 sex offender requiring him to register with law enforcement for life.
